It could be a real person given the subject matter of Pluto, with it being about racism, the Iraq War and American military intervention in the Middle East. I talk a fair bit about the real life geopolitical connections in that video.

Gesicht only appeared in 7 pages of Astro Boy. But in Pluto, Naoki Urasawa and Takashi Nagasaki turned him into one of the most compelling protagonists I've seen.

His arc ultimately embodies the core humanist and pacifist message both #Pluto and #AstroBoy sought to convey.

Today marks the Steins;Gate anime's 14th anniversary. And to this day, it is one of the all-time best-received anime. But how does it stand as an adaptation?

Unfortunately, it falls short in numerous ways, most egregiously in its adaptation of chapter 9.
