I hate that IGN continues to do this, and they get away with it. It's the rush to get your review out before or with everyone else, despite it not being complete. It's bullshit. People shouldn't give them the time of day for that nonsense.

Every time a company drops a code to us a few days or on the same day, I tell them to not expect a review anytime soon as it's not fair to us, or our audience. We have other stuff we are working on and that game, no matter what, will have to wait.

But I agree with you, 100%. Reviews are so hyper critical that if you can't get your review out with everyone else, chances are it won't get seen, or if it does, it won't do as well. I've had this conversation with several PR companies, and other individuals. It sucks, it really does.

That's not entirely true. Sure, while we've gotten codes a few days before the embargo is up, or even on the same day, we've also gotten codes weeks before. In some instances, months. It just depends on a few things.

1. Who you are, sadly.
2. Are there bigger people/outlets ahead of you

That's fair but is also what Rise was all about. Rise was made originally for the Switch, and the goal was to make it easier for players to get introduced to the Monster Hunter series. Then it got ported to the other platforms. Curious, have you played Wilds? If so, thoughts?

Agreed. I had left Twitch for Mixer and I was truly enjoyed what Mixer had to offer. So much that I streamed on it a lot more, there was less toxicity, and I was completely devastated when Mixer went away. I never felt that Facebook was all in on gaming, it was more of a "Me too" thing.

I did a few Facebook Gaming streams years ago and it was...fine. But it definitely all felt like "a thing we built because other services are offering this"

Mixer remains the only actual loss so far as streaming platforms shuttering, I think.

I would tell people to reconsider this, and look at the 4K S, instead. Even if you don't care about 4K, you get HDMI 2.1, higher 1080p (240fps) and better HDR support. This is the replacement for the HD60 X.
