Congrats! Machine sewing or hand sewing? (no judgement, I'm just nosy).

They will. Now that you mention it, I think that's what she has. The shelves fold up & the sides fold in, to pack flat. She has another shelf/box. To display, she takes the lid off. To pack, the lid goes back on & latches (with extra stock tucked inside).

Not the same exactly, but one of my friends has collapsing 'bookshelf' she uses for displays. This may not be applicable, cause plushes takes up a lot of space.

Have you heard of adding those to a clear ornament for a 'year in fiber' ornament?
But yeah, working in ends is the worst.

Benefit of hand sewing, matching the pocket stripes to the dress stripes.
No, I don't know why the picture is sideways.

I think you stuff the sleeves for proper shape. But don't quote me

There are great instructions on line. Just decide if you want visible, discreet, or invisible mending.

Vintage house dress pattern from Mrs. Depew. Made it 4 years ago. Found the pattern but not the instructions. Plus I am adding lining to key points. Wish me luck. Yes, the pocket linings are pieced.

Glad to help. Btw, you can make a Ren shirt with just 8 rectangles. 1 back, 2 front, 2 sleeves, 2 sleeve cuffs/ties, & 1 neck cuff/tie.

If you haven't already, check Morgan Donner's & Bernadette Banner's work. Also check Freesewing.org for any designs that strike your fancy. Look for Zero-waste skirt, too.

Try going to the last picot & try to pick up the core thread & pull on it. Once you have enough pulled that your shuttle will go through it, try opening the ring at the base. You may need to loosen the last knot or 2 if they've tightened too much.

Do you have a tapestry needle? Dull enough not to split your thread, but sharp enough to pick out knots.
& do you know about 'posting' your shuttle? Before you close the ring, drop the shuttle through, then close. The ring distorts slightly (makes it more rounded) but makes it much easier to open.

If you go to Jane Eborall's website, she has loads of free patterns. & pages of techniques. Be-Stitched & Handy Hands Tatting also have some free patterns.

heh, I went to a presentation about taking out mistakes in tatting. Techniques:
1) ignore it
2) repeat it (it's not a mistake, it's a design variant)
3) learn to retro-tat, including opening rings
4) cut it out & work in replacement tatting

wow, that's incredible

I don't know. There's lots of AI tatting books (restrains from typing out wrathful rant on the subject).
