Day 2 of my new #yycbike commute. 2 separate deer sightings as I rolled along the river. I now officially have access to the bike room and have discovered I am not the only one! 😁

New job means new #yycbike commute! Twice the distance of my previous commute (33km) but far more scenic! Pick up the Bow River pathway system just west of downtown, then follow the river until I peel off at 130Ave. Great morning for it!

My old commute was about 30k, round trip, so I’m doubling the distance. On a positive note, most of it will be on protected infrastructure!

Maybe we need to start paraphrasing oil and gas terminology and refer to these isolated pieces of infrastructure as “stranded assets” and in need of expanded “pipelines” (pathways) to fully utilize their potential. 😉
