Fantastic event in Peterborough this 18 Oct, the 3rd stage of the #EUSS Tour organised by Comites di Londra to support people with their Settled Status. We enjoyed meeting many lovely Italian citizens, some of whom migrated to the UK in the 60s, and also met their children and their grandchildren! 😀

We are all concerned that children might slip through the gaps. This is a very welcomed report from the IMA on the importance of registering children to ensure their legal status in the UK, particularly as local authorities don't have the expertise to deal with immigration support for children. 👍👏

EU parents and carers: If you are an EU or EEA EFTA parent living in the UK, there is a possibility that your child does not have certain rights.

Rights are not automatically given to every child that is born or adopted in the UK.

EU parent or carer? Secure your child's rights in the UK. There are 90 days to apply to the EUSS when a baby is born or adopted in the UK*. If born or adopted outside the UK, the 90 days apply from when a child first arrives in the UK. *If you missed the deadline or your child was living in the UK on or before 30 December 2020 and does not have EUSS status, you can make a late application.

EUSS protects your child's rights to: - Live in the UK - Access free healthcare - Travel in and out of the UK - Access higher education or study in the UK - Access public funds such as benefits and pensions
