Heya, I’m Senny, a detail-focused cosplayer with a thing for fabric textures. I mostly portray fantasy characters, with a few others chucked in there. I generally do sewing-based cosplays but I’m slowly expanding towards more armour/props. Also active on FB/IG as Sennedjem Cosplay.

Happy late costober day 15 (I missed yesterday!!)
The promot was Favorite Prop!

Even after all these years, it's still my Warhammer from Skyrim. His name is Yorik and he's been melted, crushed by a falling lighthouse (long story) and repaired many times

An #Astarion turnaround for your viewing pleasure!

I’m still absolutely thrilled with the whole silhouette (pun intended) of this costume and the play of different textures throughout. Adding the boots and pauldrons really raised it up a notch IMO!

One of the coolest pics I've taken in a while. @dishycrafts.bsky.social and @shienra.bsky.social as Eivor and Kassandra from Assassin's Creed

Just a Trickster and his snake 🐍

Ramses here was truly the chillest little gentleman and I loved having him chilling on my shoulders for an afternoon!

Costume by me!

I keep itching to start work on Veilguard Cole, but I want to try and get Nev Tallow done-ish for spoopy season, plus still working on camp Gale, PLUS a whole other Gale that HAS to get done for Katsu in Feb sooooo…. 😅 Sorry Cole, I think you’re a 2026 cosplan.
“Tell me - what can I do for you?”

Dug out another photo from this past spring, wanted to put some actual Gale face on here in the midst of all the camp WIPs 😅

One of the coolest #Loki shoots I’ve ever been able to do!!

Say hello to Ramses, an absolute gentleman of a red tail boa! My friend @thecovinator.bsky.social does reptile rescue and has been hint-hinting at me to do a shoot with Ramses since I think 2020? And we finally made it happen!
If you want to ask WHY a cosplayer chose the material/method/route they did, I think most would be fine with answering a respectfully phrased question.
But unless alternatives are explicitly requested, please don't go onto other people's hard work and say it could have been done better/differently.
It made me feel HORRIBLE, like all the time and effort and problem solving l'd put into making that hat was rendered pointless, because one stranger decided they knew better than I did, and judged that I could have done a better job.
I still remember an experience from almost a decade ago, at a con, where someone l'd never met REPEATEDLY demanded why I had used worbla on my Cole hat instead of foam, and no matter my explanations/reasons, insisted that foam would have been the better option. As I was standing there in my cosplay.
The problem with unsolicited ‘you also could have done it this way' comments/suggestions on cosplay posts is that no matter how well intentioned, 95% of the time they end up dismissing all the work that's already been done. And that is a really disheartening feeling.
Ah that’s great to hear! Glad folks haven’t lost interest after a year haha (obviously I haven’t 🤣)
Current status:

- Tunic - finished aside from the hem, still working on that embroidery 🤪
- Trousers - one leg still needs the detail stitching between fabrics
- Belt - finished! (aside from some closure tweaks)
- Shoes - finished! (I’ll be sharing those soon)
Gale has become such a muse for me, and this has been such a passion project, just throwing my whole heart into bringing this outfit to life. I’m so excited to keep working on it.
I’ve done over 160 hours (and counting) of hand embroidery on the tunic, plus other stitching on the trousers, belt, and shoes. I taught myself how to emboss metal for the belt tiles and shoe details, and let me tell you, those shoes are almost unrecognisable from the loafers I started with.
A year ago today, I started camp Gale; and predictably, a year later, he is still not finished!

I knew going in that this would be a long endeavour, and I haven’t given myself a deadline for finishing him. And honestly, it’s been wonderful to just work at my own pace and enjoy the journey.

This is a very slow and nerve-wracking process because I have to be so careful about the placement of each piece. That said, got one shoe adorned!
The attitude you’re getting just baffles me, like it’s fine to be mistaken about a character/cosplay, all they have to do is go ‘oh okay, that’s cool too!’ and move on with their lives. AND YET 🙃

‘In Case of Death….’

I made Gale’s resurrection pouch and got to have it gifted to Tim Downie!

Working on these stupid shoes again 🤪

Nothing's attached, just laid out to get a visual before I stopped for the night
