It's Christmastime in the Capitol! Today we paused for the Annual Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, illuminating over 2,400 lights on a 25-foot Douglas Fir decorated with 1,700 ornaments handmade by Pre-K for PA children and older Pennsylvanians.

Earlier this week, I joined Governor Shapiro, Lt. Governor Davis, Senator Lindsey Williams, and Rep. McAndrew to celebrate a NEW $25 million investment in childcare in this year's budget. Senate Democrats fought hard and won big for PA's working families this year.

Apply for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program! The budget allocated $10 million to this program to protect 501(c)(3)s who serve communities within a bias motivation category for single bias hate crime incidents identified by the FBI 2017 Hate Crime Statistics publication.
