I write deliciously Decadent, fetishy but very Romantic novels.

My characters speak like real people & act as crazily as real people do. Because I write from life experience & actual conversations & folks I knew.

"Jesus, you write like you're punching someone in the face!"
28,800 and 173 pages, and he's just revealed a surprising (and mildly embarrassing) secret.

But how long can she distract him from discovering exactly how she's been spending her nights?
27,275 and 165p, and this relationship is kind of starting off downside up, huh?

From casual hookup to something more, perhaps?
25k and 150 pages. A bit of rebound romance, or something deeper? Not if her bestie has anything to say about it, poor guy is running the gauntlet, here...
21,550 and 130 pages.

Hey, how many first dates do you go on where he goes around behind the counter and makes a pizza just for you? Hmm? Hmm?
19,800 and 116 pages. Looks like all that plotting and scheming worked...or at least landed her a first date...
18,100 and 106 pages now. The wacky bestie just convinced her to give it a shot after all.
88 pages, 15,275 words. I think we have a title.
80 pages, 13,800 words now. Everyone's got last names finally, and we're into our first swoon inducing setup...only she ain't dancing with the one she came with.
12,650 and 72 pages. Boy, it's almost looking like my take on a Hallmark movie at this point.

BWA-HA-HA!!!

Sorry. You have no idea just how much I detest those formulaic pandering hunks of streaming excrement...yet.

Just ONE agent with vision, and will YOU have a lot of novels to catch up on...
Just broke 10k words, 56 pages. Just when you think things are going in one direction, our madcap heroine flips the tables...to the point of being utterly scatterbrained, perhaps!

But she's about to stumble her way into something so much better than what she so desperately clung to before...
Got a few more pages in, 7770 words, 43 pages now.

Looks like some bridges just got burned, like it or not.
6500 words, 36 pages into our little rom-com, and one bullet dodged...or is it?
Over 30 pages, 4k words into my 25th novel...and agent rejections keep pouring in, even if some form letters are nicer or encouraging.

Just one of you. All I need is one good agent with vision. I have an entire library pret-a-publier, just get the ball rolling and my foot in the damn door already.
24th halfway through final edits...another successful cold reading last night, and surprise surprise, agent rejections keep pouring in.

Ridiculous.
Now on to Hollywood style read-through and final edits, so I can have yet ANOTHER unpublished novel to cycle through the same dozen or so agencies to no apparent avail (save effusive praise & awed reactions from anyone and everyone ELSE but agents...)

Remind me again that this process works? Ever?
As the abyssal yawn of endless rejections pours in, I've just finished my 24th novel, 495 pages, 83,500 words.
480 pages, 80,000 and I'm pretty sure this one's got one or two big closing scenes in it, and that's a wrap on my 24th novel since August 2023.

Soon I'll have to brainstorm something special for #25. Have a lot of 'em on the query rounds, so...how about getting one published, huh? Agents? Hello?
77,500 and 460 pages now. The players are in their final act, and some fateful actions have been put into play.

There will be no turning back now.
Can't imagine an industry being destroyed by AI would resort to it as an automated rejection filter, but who knows. Had one madwoman reject me inside of an hour the other week. The point is this is a failed system, designed to hinder new voices & shove talent into impoverished hobbyist territory.
Wow, that was a first. A rejection inside of 15 minutes.

These people are unbelievable.
Well...guess we'll see you next year, WNBA.

Cheating and bullying means it's going exactly as planned: Wilson vs. what's likely to be Thomas.

No thanks. Fire Englebert & all of these crooked refs, kudos to Collier for adding to the chorus of coaches and players for calling out all the corruption.
