Over the weekend Takara Tomy displayed all of their upcoming Transformers collector lines at the 2025 All Japan Model Hobby Show, many of which are still in their gray model form. Images below come from Dengeki Hobby Web. They have a lot more images than we can share here to give them a visit to see all five pages of pics. Synergenex Evangelion Unit-01 x Optimus Prime is a heavy retool of the already exclusive to Japan Legendary Optimus Prime figure from the Bumblebee movie. He features a head swap gimmick and includes weapons from the anime series. Overgear is a new line of original designs based on real world vehicles using top of the line engineering. The first two figures of the line are Ironhide and Blackout. We also have our first look at Masterpiece Movie Next MPMN-01 Sideswipe as he appeared in Dark of the Moon. He appears to include wheel effect parts. In a move that will be a surprise to nobody, the next Missing Link figure will be Delta Magnus partnered with Powerdrive. Also included in the galleries are pictures of upcoming figures from Studio Series, Age of the Primes, Masterpiece G, and Missing Link. This time the Optimus Prime takes the form of a bull- complete with a cart to fulfill the trailer requirement. Starscream on the other hand is taking the form of a monstrous bird. This set will be followed by a second set of Bumblebee and Megatron, but no images and little information has surfaced on these two.

Sorry to pile on some bad news but we wanted to warn you of potential breakage issues on the Armada Nemesis Prime which is now coming out. Multiple fans have posted images showing breakage on the Jetstorm minicon, especially in the chest area. Some have been out of the box while others occurred after a couple of transformations, like the images from Sparkimus Prime. What makes the breakage more heartbreaking is that this figure has a $90 USD price tag. So just be careful when yours comes in.

While the news dates from a couple days ago, we wanted to cover the preorder for Skybound Optimus Prime. This is a figure released as a leader class toy in the Studio Series line but it is exclusive to Pulse and won’t be available elsewhere, at least in the US. While it’s a leader figure, the price is $80 and it will come out in October … 2026. We also have a confirmed list of accessories and if you thought that’s where the extra money is going, it isnt. There is no trailer either. Below is the description of the toy, with the 3 accessories listed as well as a link to preorder and stock images. Despite online prices currently only being set for figures coming in 2026 at many retailers, Walmart has begun raising prices across the board in their stores. This transition is happening right now so if you haven't seen it in your local stores just give it time, it's coming. For a refresher: Deluxe - $28 Voyager - $43 Leaders - $60 As far as I know Leaders have not increased at Walmart, or at least at my local store still had them at $55, but I'm sure it's coming sooner than later. Walmart has also raised the price of the Retro series to $30. You may recall this is the price that Walmart.com had initially sold the second series at before dropping to $25. Pulse has them listed at $28. And with no Commander pre-orders currently available until Onslaught goes up for next year we seem to be getting our first look at that class's new price point. Pulse has gone against and raised most of their prices to the new price points which inclueds upping Commander Ultra Magnus to $100. So far the price of Titans, big and small, have not been adjusted. If you were looking forward to the exclusive Armada Nemesis Prime with Star Saber you may find yourself disappointed by some changes since being first revealed a few months ago at SDCC. For starters the figure is now available locked behind a Pulse Premium paywall for nearly a month, for everyone else orders will be available on November 3, assuming there are any left. The other big change is the price. Originally announced at $75 the figure, which is officially listed as a Voyager, with Mini-cons is now $90, the same price as Commander class Armada Optimus Prime. This could be a bad indication for future Commander class figures if a Voyager ($43) and what could arguably be a Deluxe price point set ($28) can be sold for Commander class price at a time when Hasbro rarely charges a premium for exclusives like they did in the past. Seibertron.com continues our Transformers Cyberworld coverage with new galleries from the larger-scale and deluxe-style figures in the toyline. Following up on the earlier Cyber Changers Wave 1, Cyber Changers Wave 2, and Armored Cyber Changers, this latest gallery update introduces some of the biggest and most ambitious toys in the Cyberworld line so far. The latest Cyberworld galleries include: Ultimate Cyber Changer Megatron (Desert) - a retool of The Last Knight Knight Armor Turbo Changer Hound, redesigned in Generation 2 Megatron colors. He includes a removable blaster and a new "Ride & Battle" gunner platform for smaller Cyberworld figures. Strike Battle Set Scorponok (Desert) - Standing 14 inches tall, he converts from robot to scorpion in four steps and features multiple connection ports, lights, and sounds. Smaller Cyberworld toys can ride in or interact with his various weapon and platform modes. His design draws inspiration from Transformers Energon Scorponok (who was Seibertron.com's 10th gallery way back in 2004). Chomp and Battle Grimlock (Jungle) joins the Cyberworld toy line! Transforming into a robotic Tyrannosaurus Rex in four steps, Grimlock can be configured as a mech suit or turret platform for smaller figures, and his arms feature action weapon functions. His parts can even swap with Scorponok's arms for added play options. Mirage (City) appears as a standard Cyber Changer in this lineup, converting into a jet in four steps. The mold was retooled from Starscream. As of this update, Ultimate Megatron has not yet been released in the United States, but is available for pre-order at Walmart.com. Mirage has also yet to appear in stores, though it can be ordered online at Walmart.com. Scorponok is already seeing discounts, currently 50% off as part of Amazon's sales week: Amazon.com listing. Zuru had given us some Transformers themed blind balls this year and now they have released a cheaper and yummier product. It’s called Gumi Yum, and it’s a hollow plastic egg with gummy strands of candy wrapped around it. Inside the ball is a Transformer toy, which is a miniaturized version of the toys that came in the blind balls. The toys are quite detailed though, amd have more paint and parts than the toys found in Kinder Eggs. Below are images of Optimus in both his robot and alt mode as well as Megatron’s tank mode. There is also an image of the entire assortment with a golden Bumblebee as the chase model. A hot wheels car is added to an image for scale. There is also a video review. These eggs have been found in Walmarts in Canada and in Targets in the US.

Great news for those who have yet to find Hot Wheels Optimus Prime. We are referring to the cab only casting which was released in the mainline in 2025 and that's been a real pain to get for any fan. Well, it seems Hot Wheels will treat this casting as they do their "screentime" castings where it will be on rotation for rerelease. Meaning that the exact same casting will be rereleased in the same deco, which you never see in the mainline for their more standard cars (ie: the same Lamborghini Centenario wouldn't get rereleased with the same colors again). Thanks to this video below, we know it will be released in the B case in 2026, so we should see it hit shelves again in January 2026. There is only one per case but as with all regular Hot Wheels, it will also be made available in the next case (case C) too. Basically, the supply of Optimus Prime will double in 2026, bringing prices down and giving everyone another shot at owning him or finding him in stores.

Thanks to Walmart, new listings have surfaced for two more retro card back figures. Wheelie and Outback have been unveiled as part of Walmart's October Collector Con. Outback is as expected, a re-mold of the Studio Series Brawn mold with a new head and gun. Wheelie looks to be a new mold, complete with slingshot. Both of these figures are listed at the "old" deluxe price of $24.97, and are slated to be available on October 10th at 7am PST (10 AM EST), most likely for preorder.... Now we just have to wait and ask our selves if we place the Walmart preorder... "will they get shipped, if we purchase it?"

The recent price hike on Transformers was pretty massive, with the voyager price point going from $34.99 to $42.99, in the US, which is a whopping 23% increase. This is the highest increase we've seen since the Generations line began and fans across the globe were wondering if this was just in the US, due to their new tariff policies, or if Hasbro would raise prices everywhere to make up certain losses. Well , it seems that for now MSRPs outside the US are staying the same. Alpha Trion is a great example as there are 2 upcoming voyager class Alpha Trions coming our way, one in Age of the Primes, which was already up for preorder, and one in Studio Series, that is part of the new batch of preorders with the new price. As you can see from images below: the MSRP in France (EU) is remaining at €35.82 ($39.75 USD) the MSRP in the UK is remaining at £29.16 ($39.39 USD) the MSRP in Canada is remaining at $47.99 CAD ($34.44 USD) As you can see, all those prices are lower than the $43 USD MSRP the US now has. Here's hoping that MSRP is temporary but prices have rarely ever gone down. Are your collecting habits going to change, with this new MSRP? Especially when the lack of stock in stores makes a waiting for a sale futile for most figures.

It’s a reversal of fortunes between the US and Canada. Back in 2018, Toysrus shut down operations in the US but kept all its Canadian stores. However after changing hands a few times, Toysrus Canada has become a pale husk of what it once was, being very similar to what the US Toysrus stores were at the end; overpriced with barely any new stock. And all this has lead to Canadian stores closing left and right, with 40 stores closing in 2025 alone and leaving huge metropolitan areas with no stores. Meanwhile, the brand is seeing a rejuvenation in the US. 30 stores are planned to open this year, in the US, with a pop up in a Nashville mall opening just last week. While most will be temporary stores for the holidays, there should be 10 flagship stores opened by the end of the year as well. Of course, it’s to be seen if this will be a good place to pick up the latest Transformers toys or not. Let us know if you visit any of the newly opened stores.

People attending the Tokyo Game Show in Japan this week got to see a surprise launch of merchandise from apparel maker Games Glorious based around the 1986 Nintendo Famicom (NES) game The Transformers: Mystery of Convoy (Transformers: Convoy no Nazo). The first batch of products made available for pre-order at the show included T-shirts, clear file, a logo sticker set and acrylic mascots based on the game sprites. A second wave of merch coming in December includes a reversable jacket, backpack, cushion cover, keychains and socks. They're also partnering with retailer Thunderbox on exclusive hats and sprite pins. While it's unlikely that they'll be available outside Japan the prices are pretty reasonable so perhaps they'll be worth looking for on the aftermarket. Armored Cyber Changers Seibertron.com continues our Transformers Cyberworld coverage with new galleries from the first two waves of Armored Cyber Changers. Following up on our Cyber Changers Wave 1 and Cyber Changers Wave 2, these figures expand the line with added play value by packaging each four-inch Cyber Changer with a large geared weapon system. This assortment includes Bumblebee, Galvatron, Optimus Prime, and Chop Shop: Bumblebee (City) transforms into a muscle car in two steps and comes with a blaster cannon that deploys two side-blades when activated. The blades can detach and be used individually. Galvatron (Desert) converts into a Junkion-inspired dragon in four steps. His flame blaster features a spreading barrel effect and removable flame pieces, plus a detachable tail weapon. Optimus Prime (Desert) becomes an armored off-road truck in two steps, with a large cannon that opens to reveal detachable wings. Blast effects can be attached to either the gun barrel or the wings. Chop Shop (Desert) changes into a stag beetle in four steps. He comes with a pincer-based weapon system that can be reconfigured in multiple ways. His design draws from several classic insectoid Transformers, most notably Beast Wars Insecticon. As with the standard Cyber Changers, articulation is limited to the shoulders, hips, and knees, but the added weapon gimmicks give these figures a different kind of play value. Blokees has been making some new announcements on their Facebook page over the last couple days for a wide range of pop culture series, and of course they had some announcements for Transformers. They started off Friday morning with a gray CAD preview of Bumblebee and Megatron from Dark of the Moon as part of the Classic Class. Then this morning we were treated to the next entry in the Action Edition line, Tarn! If you aren't familiar with Blokees, they're model kits but pre-painted and made with solid plastic that makes them feel more like traditional action figures when assembled. Mattel's Club Grayskull has posted official images of the Starscream Armor Scare Glow. This figure is part of the MOTU Classic play pattern where parts can be mixed and matched between bucks. The Starscream armor is added onto a Scareglow buck, that according to packaging still has the glow in the dark features. Additional accessories include Coronation gear (crown, cape),and a set of nullrays that will provide Starscream's signature wings. The figure is currently available for preorder via Club Grayskull at$42.99 with a release date of May 8,2026. The earlier reported Optimus Prime He-Man armor is also available to Club Grayskull members here with the same price and release date.

Today at 9am PST, Mattel is scheduled to open up preorders for a "surprise announcement" for Masters of the Universe collectors. Target has beaten Mattel to the punch and has already opened up preorders for the next installment of the the MOTU X Transformers line. This time it is Optimus Prime Armor He-Man. Like Bumblebee Armor Man-At-Arms and Megatron Armor Skeletor, this figure is a MOTU Classics buck He-Man with Matrix Power Sword, Energy Shield, Orange Energy Axe, and removable faceplate. The Target pre-order is slated for a January release. For members of Club Grayskull, an announcement of a hero--- and villain was sent out yesterday. Rumors are floating around that the second figure will be the Starscream Armor Scareglow, but no confirmation or official images have surfaced as of yet.

Tigertrack Across Generations As Seibertron.com works toward upcoming galleries for Missing Link Sunstreaker and Cordon, it felt like the right time to finally shine a spotlight on Tigertrack. The vigilant yellow Lamborghini Autobot has been waiting in the wings since our 2014 Masterpiece gallery update, and now we complete the circle with three new looks at his history. A fierce sentry with optics sharp enough to pierce through camouflage, Tigertrack shares his mold with Sideswipe, but his bright yellow deco recalls the Lamborghini styling of Sunstreaker, making him a unique hybrid of the two iconic brothers. Tigertrack (e-Hobby / G1, 2003) Originally released in Japan as an e-HOBBY mail-away exclusive, Tigertrack redecoed the G1 Sideswipe mold into a Lamborghini Countach LP500S. Sporting painted tampographs instead of some stickers and a fully functional spring-loaded launcher, he became a sought-after collector's item. This toy closed for pre-order in December 2002 and shipped in late 2003, paying tribute to the yellow Diaclone Countach from the brand's earliest days. WFC-GS18 Tigertrack (Generations Selects, 2020) Part of the War for Cybertron: Earthrise Generations Selects lineup, this redeco of Siege Sideswipe included his missile launcher, missile, and Red Alert's electron pulse blaster. Covered in C.O.M.B.A.T. System ports for blast effects, he's ready for battle displays. Interestingly, Hasbro Pulse described this release as inspired by the 2013 Masterpiece Tigertrack, acknowledging his legacy beyond just the e-HOBBY release. Tigertrack (Universe 2.0 Custom, 2008) Tigertrack never officially appeared in the 2008 Universe toy line, but fans discovered that by swapping parts between Deluxe Class Sunstreaker and Sideswipe, you could assemble a yellow “what if” version. This same engineering trick also produced Spin-Out from the leftover parts. Though unofficial, this gallery highlights how versatile designer Hisashi Yuki's clever torso-reversal engineering really was — making Tigertrack a natural fit for the mold. With these three new galleries, Tigertrack's history comes into sharper focus — from rare Japanese mail-away to a modern Generations Selects redeco, and even the “unofficial” fan customs that carried his legacy forward. More than a decade after we first covered him in our 2014 Masterpiece Tigertrack news story, he finally takes his place alongside his brothers in red and yellow.
