Yeah I get that. I subscribe cause I got a free trial and got hooked on a bunch of their shows, so I’m not mad about it but it feels like I’m one of the only ones (and I totally understand why).

I’m sensing that I’m very much in the minority here but I like it. I’m already an Apple TV sub because they make excellent original content. So it’ll save me the F1 Premium $, plus ESPN didn’t seem to give F1 any real attention at all and prob would’ve drowned us in sports betting ads if they did.

In a way, I’m glad this is affecting all of their programming. Probably wouldn’t get fixed if it were only hockey, but they know they have to fix it for college football and the nfl.

I’ve noticed that the ads take at least a few seconds to buffer, presumably falling behind live, and then they still run for the full duration. Watching anything on the ESPN app has been irritating for a long time but this is extra frustrating.

All true, but cocaine also flows from Venezuela up the Lesser Antilles, a few islands at a time (virtually no fentanyl travels this way). My understanding is that not all is destined for the US, but gives these criminals a sliver of evidence to pretend they are justified in committing murder.

He’s always seemed like a decent enough guy, as billionaires and team owners go. Supporter of HBCUs, concerned about democracy, reasonably priced concessions at the stadium so families can enjoy games, etc.

I can’t bear to watch the F1 pre/post race coverage when they have her on. She obviously doesn’t know much about the sport and is only on to appeal to the US audience, but there are so many talented folks who deserve the spot.

Away from artificial surfaces. MetLife Stadium in particular has caught a lot of flak for their turf. Natural grass is the players’ preference but obviously harder to maintain, which is why about half of NFL teams have moved to artificial turf.

It seems much more likely that the multi-national companies who hire & sponsor H-1B recipients will instead hire them locally or relocate them to countries that aren’t extorting them. Just another step in the decline of American innovation, which has always been driven by brilliant immigrants.
