Tragic news from Canada where the Canadian Supreme Court has gone from the official dress on the left to the one on the right
Canadian Supreme court. Everyone is dressed in bright red wooly gowns, with a beige trim. It looks sort of like a Santa robe The Canadian Supreme court. Everyone is dressed in black gowns with a bright white kravat, and two thin red vertical lines on the side of the robe

According to Gnostic teaching the world is a mixture of the seeds of light and of darkness. Though it is impossible to distinguish between them now in the fullness of time they will separate naturally, as ordained.

There's an entire Genre of News Articles in this country that follows the "Government won't meet it's climate targets, Report finds". They should just add it as a stand alone Category of news items in Canada.

This sounds like something that someone who isn't me should read. It sounds like it would be very fulfilling for me. I mean, them...

I enjoyed this "Voynich manuscript" style from yesterday – it reminds me of an earlier "Gnostic" style, just with more of an Art Brut aesthetic due to the weirdness of the original.

`A Nordic winter goddess, standing in drifted snow, surrounded by a white snowflake forest` #midjourney
illuminated Voynich manuscript, full-body shot of a regal Nordic winter goddess, standing in drifted snow, bright blue eyes, rick-rack hair, surrounded by a white snowflake forest, intermingled with handwritten text, bright colours, faded parchment, negative space --ar 4:3 --stylize 200 --v 7

My personal remembrance of Jane Goodall is that, as a child and young adult, I always felt a little ashamed about the strength of my love and empathy towards animals, but then she came along and made me feel seen and validated about that.

The world is too much with us; late and soon, Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers; Little we see in Nature that is ours; We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon! For this, for everything, we are out of tune; It moves us not.

Old Soviet joke for today:

A man walks into a newsstand every day, looks around, and leaves.

After a long time of this, the owner says “Can I help you find something?”

“I’m looking for the obituaries.”

“The obituaries are in the back of the newspaper, comrade.”

“Not the one I’m looking for.”

MayMay Art / Cicadaa Art (www.instagram.com/cicadaa_art) very kindly accepted a commission from Caira and I for a fun portrait of Barnaby Jones Boots in her new style. She captured the essence of our sassy, chatty little "chaos rat" perfectly, alongside his favourite toothbrush. 😊

The mental health benefits of not knowing any history right now must be massive. Moving through your day with total equanimity. What happens next? Who knows? Maybe something good
