The Seattle Community Network began in 2019 as a project of the Local Connectivity Lab (LCL), a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit that develops and deploys open source cellular network technologies to help people run their own community networks.

On Nov. 1 and 2, 8 SCN volunteers set up WiFi at Rosie's LIHI Tiny House Village. With heavy rain all day, they spent day 1 running cable across the property to 6 WAP locations to blanket the whole village with a consistent signal, and day 2 setup 5G modems and PoE fundraiser.seattlecn.org #seattle

We've been partnering with fultel.net to put Connections (lffc.us/connections/) at seattlecommunityfridge.org/ sites to provide free WiFi and landline phone service at each fridge; so far, we've installed them at their Dunlap and Estelita's Library locations! Here are photos of our Dunlap install:
On June 13, and 14, several volunteers from the Seattle Community Network installed networking equipment including routers, access points, and cabling to enable broadband internet access for the residents at the Y K Building at 110 14th Ave., in Seattle. #seattlecommunitynetwork #seattle
