Last night, the French fishing vessel “FANTOME DES MERS” issued a distress call around 2025-10-14 22:50 UTC for unknown reasons.
A SAR patrol boat was dispatched and assisted the crew. The vessel is now safe in La Cotinière (France). ⚓️

The Cameroon-flagged cargo ship Eileen sank in the Black Sea on Oct 12 after suffering a hull breach and uncontrollable flooding.

All 10 Ukrainian crew were rescued from two life rafts by the Turkish vessel Murat Ilhan — no injuries reported.

⚠️A surfer in his 50s was bitten twice by a bronze whaler shark at D’Estrees Bay, Kangaroo Island 🇦🇺 — an area known as The Sewer.
He managed to drive himself to hospital and is undergoing emergency surgery.
