We’ve updated Netlify pricing – but if you’re an existing customer, nothing changes. ❤️

We're rolling out credit-based plans for new users.

– One metric across 5 categories
– Analytics now included
– New Personal plan starts at $9/mo

"Progress shows up when work ships without you."

Felt this quote from @kvlly.com. It explains why I get more excited by my team shipping without my involvement than by the work that I drive.
What engineering management actually is (and isn't)
Most new managers confuse management with leadership. Here’s why that mistake derails teams and how to avoid it

I found this link via *The Index* which is one of a very small number of newsletters that I read almost every time. I find something refreshing and enjoyable in each collection.

Highly recommend subscribing!
This is also a good opportunity to note that you also don't need to use images in your blog posts at all, especially if they have nothing to do with the material you're presenting.

I've used abstract graphics that get automatically generated with the title when I publish a new post.
you do not have to use generative ai "art" in your blogs because there are websites where you can get real, nice images for free

I agree with "it looks tacky and it cheapens the words around it"

What seems like a better flow is AI *starting* artwork, and then adding polish and a personal touch.

IOW use AI to help with the process, but don't lose the human touch that you bring to your content properties.

This is a cool idea! Can already think of many ways to make this useful, particularly through the use of making notifications actionable via links.

I like reminders for simple things where I need to do something physical (eg: water the plants), but it doesn't work well for tying directly to a URL.

ntfy is a simple HTTP-based pub-sub notification service. It allows you to send notifications to your phone or desktop via scripts from any computer, and/or using a REST API.

Back in the day, Twitter used to be really good if I set up a thread to connect freelancers with clients. Let's see if Bluesky can do it.

Clients: if you're looking for freelancers/contractors, get in the comments

The "One Tip a Week" newsletter by @nickyt.online is one of my favorites I've read in a while! It's short and sweet and I've learned something new almost every time.

Made a little starter pack for Moar Serverless speakers with Bluesky accounts. FOLLOW THEM ALL! And come see them LIVE IN 2 HOURS!
"Is it good at generating spam or detecting it?" is such an interesting question. Being good at both leads to this weird AI paradox state. 🤔

I suspect it's circumstantial, varying based on context and human input.

This is a really fun, crowd-sourced road trip using Google street view. Users can vote on which direction to go next. It looks like an unmoderated chat though, so be warned.
