Mind you, whatever you're using does look pretty shiny on the camera-facing bit of her hair!
What the prop people do, AIUI:
- Underlying surface needs to be *really* smooth
- Usually apply chrome lightly over gloss black first coat
- Clear colour coat over top to tint

Dunno if anyone's fully cracked it yet; the best I've seen have been Alclad chrome thru airbrush or Molotow chrome pens.
I swear they once moved it for a welly-throwing event.
Didn't have "spend the whole day trying and failing to repair my main computer after the boot drive suddenly died" on my bingo card, ugh.

And just DAYS after the MS deadline to sign a reinstalled Win10 up for extended support. 😡
I mean it literally means blood so...
Dialogue seems improved from when I bounced off it after the first half dozen or so DWJ issues - was having a lot of trouble with "that word doesn't work that way" on top of disliking the overall tone. I wish they'd fix the awful lettering for the TF characters though.
I worked for Stagecoach HQ for a little while years ago, on the data side. The reported actual MPG from those pre-hybrid buses was *shocking*.
Jeez, that escape tunnel.
I *still* shudder thinking about "the choice that was no choice".
From what I understand he was talking about in-house pattern matching / learning algos for auto-tweening, i.e. the good kind of AI. Not the generative LLM/GPT/theft machine type - though it's certainly to the latter's benefit to confusingly use "AI" for both.
Love the slight misalignment of the blue plate 😆
It's not *just* that I opened the microwave and found the cold cup of coffee I'd put in there this morning; it's that I would swear blind I'd drunk it at the time and taken the cup back out to wash.
I am, and over time I've learned we just have to let it slide with stoic resignation when she gets Like This. She'll lose interest and move on to another target soon enough. Builds national character, doncherknow. Stiff upper lip and all that. What-ho.
... took me a minute to remember that was a real song and not Billy Connolly's "In The Brownies," which was what my head supplied.

I wish any British politician would say anything even half as good as this
UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

Dad’s books are full of empathy, common sense, and a healthy suspicion of the powerful. But at its heart his work is also about how systems keep people poor while pretending it’s their own fault. So I hope Kemi’s taking notes as well as reading the jokes.
Kemi Badenoch claiming Terry Pratchett as her favourite author is wild
I do appreciate the increasing diversity in face sculpts too, not just the "Caucasian face painted brown" of old.
Me: *squints at a couple of those, not least the first two on the second row*

Like, I don't really think that's their intent just yet, but...
The sheer red-mist hatred my daughter has for Ted Faro is something to behold.... Grudge solidly held from HZD for several years at this point. Must get around to FW.
That's true, but the puzzle gives you Terry's state (guilty) in the previous step and then asks you to infer Adam's state from Terry's. So, since Terry cannot be guilty if Adam is innocent, and Terry is guilty, Adam cannot be innocent.
(If A = I then T = I; T != I; therefore A != I)

I find Wes Streeting's presence unpleasant, so he should be banned from all spaces I could ever possibly visit. That's how this works, right Wes?
🚨 BREAKING | Wes Streeting confirms Labour is actively working to BAN trans women AND trans men from female spaces, describing their presence as "unpleasant".

Streeting confirmed to MumsNet that Labour aims to exclude ALL trans people from single-sex spaces.

For 56 minutes Sky News and BBC News interrupted everything else and carried a Reform UK feed live, uninterrupted, unchallenged. The stream spluttered, froze, pixelated - dozens of times - still they stuck with it. FOR ONE HOUR.

This is an editorial choice. No other party gets this coverage. ~AA
That one was a straight-up misprint rather than weird colouring, wasn't it? Looks to me like the cyan and yellow plates were swapped.
