Many thanks, Mark. It was a beautiful day in the valley--great for bird watching!
Probably not happy I found him/her hidden in the tree. 😆
My DW’s nicely captured windows into miniature worlds of fungi, lichens and mosses. 🍄📸🌿
With a glare like that I'm glad I'm not a small bird or other critter! This ferruginous pygmy-owl is a small predator with a big appetite and like its northern cousin, can actually take down prey over twice its size. Central Brazil on a recent trip with @connielavon.bsky.social. #brazilbirding 🪶🌿🦉
Nice colours showing on the Fraser River yesterday morning. 🌿🍁

It was a great fall day for watching bluebirds on the move yesterday. @connielavon.bsky.social and I even had a bright blue sky at a beautiful location surrounded by snow-dusted mountains. 🪶 🌿

Wow, this is a stunning and unique photo of our town! I think it should be shared widely… or maybe it is? 👍🤔😊
I’m sorry. Maybe he’ll come back. 🫶
Nice! Georgia O’Keeffe comes to mind.
That blue is tickling my optic nerves! 💙
I love this portrait with such incredible detail. You’re a very talented artist, if you don’t mind me saying so.

🚨 Highway 5 Closure Update 🚨

The Coquihalla Highway (Highway 5) is closed in both directions between Hope and Merritt due to the Mine Creek wildfire near Britton Creek.

⚠️ Expect significant delays. Detours are available via Highway 1 and Highway 3.

A surreal and beautiful image. Nicely done!
Nice photos of this little beauty! Can you provide a general location?
Looks like a Robber Fly (Asilidae) with its prey.
This here is a dragonfly called an Eight-spotted Skimmer. So, not being an Odonata-ologist and after a bit of research I found that you count the dark splotches on all four of the wings (not the white opaque spots) to make sense of the name. Hope this helps--it helped me anyway! 🤗 #bugsky 🌿
Even in death they keep their radiance. I love these beetles.
