Tim was my mentor. He taught me how to tell stories with sound. He always had a clear vision, but also let me follow my own passions -- a real leader.

His departure is a huge loss for public radio listeners, for those who rely on his expertise and knowledge, and for WITF.

Remember tomorrow that the origins of Thanksgiving- as a truly national holiday- came from the work of Sarah Hale and Abraham Lincoln. A nation gave thanks to God as it mourned the Union dead and prayed for the defeat of the Confederacy by either changing rebel minds or bringing them to submission.
