Managed to knuckle in on the Glossy Ibis fest yesterday, very brief 5 min appearance at Medwin Pools Dunsyre.Dropped down a bit of hassle from the locals before heading off high NE. 1st record for Clyde was 7 at Barons Haugh 09/10/25 now single birds been in 3 other locations since #Scottishbirding

My first pink feet of the autumn today with 62 at Medwin pools Dunsyre expect there will be many more in the next few days. Clyde at Carstairs Bridge had 15 ruff and 145 curlew #clydebirding

It's taken a while, but found my first pinkfoot neck collar of the goose season, silver XUA in a flock of c1800 at Douglas Water today, ringed Martin Mere 01/12/23 first re-sight since ringing.

Been filtering through 1000' s of pinks all winter and apart from a scattering of Barnies and a Taiga bean that's been it. Hoped that the birds staging north in the spring may drag something along with them. Bar-headed goose with c1200 pinks at Carstairs today, not quite what I was hoping for😒
