Here is a non-exhaustive list of books, sites, and courses I recommend for those new to digital accessibility or those already in the field who seek to continue their education. These are the resources I constantly use to further my understanding and knowledge

A very long thread below 👇
Being laid off was one the best things that happened to me because it allowed me to take all that energy I put into work into myself and my projects One of those projects is building an interactive improv show platform that supports multi team and show formats.

This January 21-22 CrystalCon 2026, over two days and six sessions, will explore AI's very real consequences for disabled people and everyone who has to live with the products that companies integrate with it. There's no hype, no "innovation theater," just honest conversations and practical sessions

It's been almost three years, but CrystalCon, the accessibility conference created from spite, is back. This January, I'm giving you six sessions of content over two days, all made by me. Given the current state of tech and digital accessibility, most sessions will focus on artificial intelligence.

I can tell when accessibility has only been studied but not practiced in real world settings - the statement there are never conflicts between providing a solution that is accessible to users who have different disabilities and various requirements. It doesn't happen all the time but it's not rare.

Imagine doubling down when your coworker asks you to stop using the company ChatGPT account for 50 shades of Gray porn. Though I can't help but laugh that it started calling everyone 'baby girl'

I fucking did! After two hours of errors I deployed and my app is live!!!!

I'm never doing backend shit again. All you backend devs get my utmost respect.
😑

My face right now because I need to deploy my web app to the web but the last time I used either AWS or Firebase I literally had an instructor helping me figure everything out.. I'll get it done as I can't ask everyone to come to my house so I can run it locally.

It isn't really hard. They don't want the structure of power to change. What is currently taking place is not "American politics as usual" but to do something about it and differently means the dreams of pre-2000 political status quo cronyism between the two parties is truly dead.

Toxoplasmosis in most people just causes flu-like symptoms. But for those pregnant and withweakened immune systems it can cause seizures and birth defects. Also eye infections that can lead to blindness which is why I only have one that is functional. The other was infected while I was in the womb.

5 years ago, I picked up the first edition of Inclusive Design for a Digital World. I reached out to @rejinae.bsky.social to tell her how much I appreciated her book. Never imagined she would become a great friend and mentor. Also that I would be a technical reviewer on the second edition.
Inclusive Design for a Digital World
This book invites you to rethink how we create digital systems, products, and tools, to meet accessibility requirements and shape a more inclusive future.
