The village had a drone show last night - live band ahead of time, food truck, etc. Cold, though! Anyway, it was kind of cool but reminded me of the early days of computer art. The tech is neat, but still waiting on some genuine artists to show up and make it do something unexpected.

I still keep a paper calendar in my home office - it's mainly used to remember months-away duties and such, but also to credit myself for good activities. Excercise, biking to work, etc.
Yesterday's entry merely reads "pallet racking". That's a couple day's worth of exercise.

Finally got around to dragging the old recumbent bike up from the basement (where it lives on a trainer for winter exercise) and putting it on the street again.
Still fun!
Still not entirely practical!

@acastelletto.bsky.social this is one of those odd fiction ideas I come up with, but I'm not a writer.
I had this idea of a near-future paramilitary group, basically new civil war America stuff, and the interesting idea was that they'd play good cop / bad cop with people they captured.

Today’s service call to a church on the south side, with weekend 1.5x labor rate, was courtesy of careless carpet installers.

RFK Jr. is going to burn in Hell for what he said this week about autistic children.
I mean, he was already going, but now we are building yet another special place in Hell just for him.

Professional Wrestling is what you'd get if you took a bunch of more-than-usually-crazy stuntmen and told them to write, stage, and star in a soap opera about boxers. It's also a lot of fun to watch.

Happened by the local Tesla dealer on my bike, and found a neat little office park behind it. From that viewpoint I could see a lot of piled up inventory.

What's the go-to for scanning in 35mm slides these days? A fresh trove of old family slides turned up recently.

Bit of a revelation at work today. I needed to make up a flow chart of a recently installed audio system, and tried 2-3 different apps like LibreOffice Draw, Google Draw, etc. Not enough flexibility by a long shot.

Next step in preparing for a bigger and heavier piano: Finally getting around to putting in decent baseboard trim behind where that piano is going to be sitting for the next decade or two.

Brought home the very back part of the upright piano, after taking it to work so I could use a hoist to get the very heavy cast iron plate out of there.
With the plate gone the rest is easily under a hundred pounds. I sure hope I surprised somebody driving by while carrying it inside by myself.

There's an official YouTube channel called "Doctor Who: Classic" which is actively uploading complete series of the old Tom Baker shows!

This would actually make a pretty cool desk. If I can get the plate out of there without too much drama.
