Starting March 1, 2026, devices running ActiveSync versions lower than 16.1 will no longer be able to connect to Microsoft services. This applies only to Exchange Online and only to mobile devices using native email apps.

The December 2025 SU is now available for Exchange Server SE. This SU is also available for Exchange Server 2019 and Exchange Server 2016 customers in the Exchange Server ESU program.

Starting March 1, 2026, Microsoft will block EWS access for Exchange Online mailboxes that don't have license rights to EWS, namely, Exchange Online Kiosk, Microsoft 365/Office 365 F1, and Microsoft 365/Office 365 F3.

PSA: Microsoft has resolved the issue of duplicate schema entries when Windows Server 2025 is used as a Schema Master FSMO role holder. See support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/....

This prevents the issue from happening but if you are experiencing the issue, contact the Windows AD support team.

PSA: Do NOT use Windows Server 2025 as the schema master before installing Exchange Server SE RTM. The Windows Server team is working on a permanent fix for this issue (to be released in the following months).
