A word to ICE: if you're getting harassed/ran off the road/boxed in CONSTANTLY, that you're in unmarked cars with your faces covered, maybe there's a reason why people are so mad at you, and it might have something to do with your actions, just a thought, not to excuse anything

If federal agents genuinely needed help, denying them is not good, no matter how much you hate ICE (I am not a fan of them either)
I don't understand the thinking behind the refusal to respond by Chief of Patrol, however, they had 30 agents in one area

Summary and opinions: CPD responded to the shooting, did their job, turned over the scene an hour later, they responded to ICE calling for assistance
At 12:30, during the 30 agents vs crowd call, units were instructed to not respond, they were nearby but did not engage,

12:30 30 armed CBP/HSI/ICE were on scene requesting help for a large crowd at 39th Pl/Kedzie, CPD units headed immediately
12:32 999 said all units were to hold a few blocks out for instructions

11:58: 999 requested a quick debrief of everyone that was on scene so they all met
12:14 a federal agent called said someone rammed him at 37/Kedzie, a couple calls on it. large group, 999 ordered a car to go immediately to make sure feds were OK, EMS called at 12:22 for agent

CPD said they'd leave one unit on the victim's vehicle since there's a gun inside
CPD was still on scene even while another unit needed a backup car for a person with a gun call
11:55 per 999, all CPD were clear of the scene
Units were cleared, including hospital units

~11:20 CPD asked for another couple cars for traffic control and asked them to step it up,
11:34 the command from 999 (Watch Commander) to clear everyone up and cancel the RD#, turn the scene slowly over to federal agents, his order was per Chief of Patrol
