My poor sweet dog is shivering under the bed because some jagoffs in the neighborhood are trying to start a wildfire with their after market fireworks. Happy 4th. Sorry for the rant.

This injury stole my life last year but now there is a light at the end of the tunnel. For so many others, they’ll live in pain for years, maybe even the rest of their lives. I am unbelievably lucky and I am so thankful for this chance.

Chronic pain is so insidious. It affects everyday of your life and can feel like you’ll never be without pain again. I’m just starting my healing from my incision but this surgery has given me so much hope that I WILL heal.

After 3 epidural pain injections in 6 months, I made the decision to move forward with scheduling surgery. Today I went under for a micro discectomy to repair a disc herniation that has been pressing on my sciatic nerve. (2/?)

Just had my first ever major surgery and I’m feeling so hopeful.

I’ve suffered episodes of chronic back pain since I was 22 but over the last year I’ve had pain almost every day. Meds, injections, acupuncture, and physical therapy all helped but nothing could get rid of the pain for good. (1/?)
