Another church in the #PlazadeArmas, the #CathedralBasilicaoftheAssumptionoftheVirgin, built by the Spanish colonizers over a former temple and palace of an Incan ruler. It is an #UNESCO #WorldHeritageSite.

The #church of the Society of Jesus on the #PlazadeArmas in #Cusco, #Peru was built by the Spanish on top of the palace of the Sapa Inka Huayna Capac, which they had demolished.

What goes up, must come down. It's a tight squeeze coming down from the peak of #HuaynaPicchu. Since there is less space at the peak, the trail becomes one way up and a separate way down.
