Maintaining boundaries, especially with children, does not have to be harsh- having a stone wall is better for them to touch than an electric fence, especially if we want them to trust that it is/we are a safe, healthy place for them to lean on in troubled times. 2/2

Gentle parenting doesn't mean permissive parenting- and those that equate the two often equate the polar opposite as being harsh with being loving and should probably sit with that. 1/2
