If the implication of this article is meant to be “more than one museum about a celebrated person is excessive”, I would invite reflection on just how many museums, facilities, and monuments celebrate colonialism and genocide, and honour really awful abusers.

Once more with the fire cider. I make a pretty regular recipe with a few boreal extras like spruce and juniper. I have a huge crush on this stuff. The other day I was lucky to share some with someone and I was so happy that they were not afraid of it. #firecider #coldandfluseason #autumn

This is a jar of fire cider, which is raw apple cider vinegar, ginger, turmeric, onion, garlic, chilies, lemon, and a variety of beloved herbs and friends.

Another jar of fire cider, the blue things are juniper, not berries, but you could put berries if you like.

The is is a small jar of fire cider with a bit of a mix of things, including juniper and spruce.

A few nights ago I was walking and felt like there must be a spotlight or some kind of floodlight behind me, but I was on a trail and it was the moon. It gave me a shadow it was so bright. It put the Yusuf Cat Stevens “moonshadow” song in my head in the nicest way.

I am “weird” where I live. As a lefty forest beasty vegan old sack of hair, I do not really fit in with the (mostly) hyper-conservative people here. It helps to interact, even though it is sort of not real. I’d miss not learning from diverse perspectives, it has helped me work on my ignorance.

This week it has felt like autumn in a few ways that I really cherish. Walks with crunching leaves, changes in the sky’s light and colour, a few brave butterflies waking on a warm day, hopefully finding love and having a great life. Happy times to you. 🍂🍃🍂🍃🍂🍃🍂

Lovely brown butterfly with cream coloured edges and little blue spots. Just wonderful.

This is some kind of neat fungus growing on a dead stump. It was mostly coppery brown shades but had a pale edge.

This is a stump, growing lichens and lovelies that I cannot name. Taken this week on a walk in the southwest of the Yukon.
