This basil "tree" was in the garden bed, hacked some off to put in this pot with the hope of bringing it indoors. It kinda suffered a bit but was starting to recover...then got a hit of frost 🤦‍♀️
But nest to see how it's recovering now that it's indoors (and after a bit of fertilizer)
It's a "Grape Crush" aster. This year I had a small issue with the drip irrigation so it didn't do that we'll, I'm shocked it even bloomed! This picture was last year on November 10th!
The blizzard knocked this beauty down quite a bit but it ended up blooming afterwards anyway. Take THAT, Saskatchewan weather. It's Oct 27 and this thing is in full blooming glory now.
Yes. Definitely. Just a little bit.
I was so desperate to finish a book one time that I got an audible free trial to listen to the book where I left off while I was doing the house chores. It was a pain finding my spot but it was worth it. Now every time I have to put my kobo down I'm cranky lol
Can someone invent hybrid e/audio books? I prefer to read on my kobo but want the book to keep going when I'm walking or driving so I want it to switch to audio at that point.
Yes, I realize that my reading addiction/hyperfocus is already excessive and this would make it worse but idgaf! #booksky
I'm Canadian but we still have work plans for drugs, glasses, dental etc. I think it's bizarre that my husband who has a good plan already can be double covered under mine, but the person who birthed and raised me and doesn't have a work plan anymore can't be put on my plan.
I'm Canadian so we mostly have universal health care but things like glasses, dental, physio etc are out of pocket unless you've got a work plan and it's weird than my husband who makes good money gets to use my plan (and his own) but my low income MOTHER can't.
Especially wild when you consider than half of all marriages end in divorce.
The original form of doxxing lol
Unnecessarily large zucchini yet again. 3.66kg. For my American friends that's over 8 lbs.

This dude was hiding under the leaves very well, clearly.
They've all gotten pretty big before I'd been able to find them in all the leaves! Do they not taste as good when they're this big? My cucumbers sometimes get too big before I find them and they definitely aren't as good after a certain point
Unnecessarily large zucchini this year
Russian sage. It smells amazing when you run your hands over the purple fluff (like sage lol).
I have two different varieties, though I don't remember their names anymore!
So I started typing a phone number in the calculator app today. Because that's how infrequently I make phone calls. when my brain thinks numbers to type, it thinks calculator, not phone.

Also maybe indicates how poorly I do math in my head if opening the calculator app is so automatic.
No it was an Aussie 5 dollar bill at least. And they had 2 dollar and 1 dollar coins so it wasn't like I was asking for 5 individual dollar bills like in the states. I was so close, yet so far lol.
It was late, I was tired and a bit tipsy. The guy said "huh?" And I repeated myself twice before I realized. Trying to say "two 2 dollar coins and 1 one dollar coin" was difficult in that state. So many more words to say the same thing!
Still cringe at how, nearly 25 years ago, I went into a convenience store in Australia late at night, needing change...handed the cashier a 5 dollar bill and said "give me two toonies and a loonie" and how unhinged I must have sounded to someone who knew what neither of those things were.
My husband: there's a way too close all tabs at once
Me: but then I'd lose those super important 4 tabs I was looking for!
Alternate post for this picture:

Me: my ADHD isn't all that bad...oh wait nevermind
Only noticed this number after manually closing 15 individual tabs.
