Economic boycotts are a powerful weapon. Spend your money like it’s your voice — because it is.

The lawsuit asks a federal court to force Trump to pause and submit the 90,000-square-foot ballroom proposal to Congress and other oversight bodies, allowing for public review and input before construction can continue.

“In fact, more GOP Hoosiers voted against the measure than for it.”

A huge loss for Trump. A big win for democracy.

"Although we may never know with complete certainty the identity of the winner of this year's presidential election, the identity of the loser is perfectly clear. It is the nation's confidence in the judge as an impartial guardian of the rule of law."

SCJ John Paul Stevens’ dissent re: Bush v. Gore
25 years ago today, SCOTUS elected George W Bush president of the United States by blocking completion of a voting canvass in Florida. A subsequent canvass by the Associated Press showed that Bush's rival, Al Gore, had won the race in Florida—and thus the contest for the presidency—by 700 votes.

I do not agree, as some have commented, that this is pointless or performative. It demonstrates the loyalties of the House majority. It presents a document outlining Trump’s offenses that you can access, read aloud to whomever you choose, and share widely: algreen.house.gov/sites/evo-su...)

Maybe I get Trump’s attacks on Ilhan Omar. She came on a rare Einstein visa, had an anchor baby & has no public service record since 2006.

Wait. That’s Melania.

Ilhan Omar became a citizen in 2000 after 8 years of vetting and has decades of public service fighting for working people and democracy.

This presidential “pardon,” as it’s for a state crime, is the equivalent of digital toilet paper, only flimsier and serving a less useful purpose.

Once again, a discharge petition had to be used to get the bill past Speaker Johnson, out of committee and to the House floor for a vote.

Michael Glasheen, a longtime FBI agent serving as operations director of the National Security Branch, is only vaguely familiar with the Proud Boys. He was apparently napping throughout the day on January 6, 2021.
WALKINSHAW: Are you familiar with the Proud Boys?

GLASHEEN: I'm familiar with the name

WALKINSHAW: Does the FBI still designate them as an extremist organization? They did during Trump's first term

GLASHEEN: We are in the process right now of changing our, uh, categories for domestic terrorism
