Somewhere in the heart of Texas, I endure. I was just gonna take these two peach bellini candles and exchange them for the winter candy apple and the ice gingerbread candles. She/her.

Did you just come at me with a Google AI screenshot to justify classifying these yahoos as mentally disturbed instead of just plain stupid, greedy, and mean? That’s not an explanation, it’s an excuse. When you associate these people with us, it’s lumping us all together.
MAGA is an ideology. Having a mental illness is a medical condition and can even be classified as a disability, albeit an invisible one. By characterizing the inarguably mindless adherents of MAGA as clinically mentally ill, you and OP are stigmatizing those of us who are genuinely sick.
Demonstrably untrue. Some of us are in different stages of treatment, but our illness doesn’t make any of us cruel, selfish, and vindictive. I request that you correct your terminology.
That lil orange is very engaged
Which partner takes care of the baby when it’s born? Even in the countries when there’s equal parental leave, who does most of the work?

🤔

Well, I’m sure someone will figure it out.
True. There’s a big difference between predicting a likely and unfavorable outcome vs. *accepting* that outcome. Cynicism and anger are not the same thing as despair. Anger can be harnessed into action.
I envision an Adonis 365 calendar one day…
“…a vote on extending the subsidies…” that will lead to a conclusive no. Republicans have no interest in extending subsidies. It would be honest to come out and say it, but lying is good press.
Separate statehood remains untouched for now due to its utility - sympathetic state governors are much more cooperative when given free reign to do what they choose in their own domain - but one must ask, for how much longer will this be the case? When will blue states become “the enemy?”
Congress will not restrain the Executive branch in spite of the numerous illegal actions of the executive, so swift illegal actions continue, sometimes halted by a laconic judiciary, but more often upheld.
Call me paranoid, but there are not enough words to describe how very perilous of a situation we are in. The emboldened executive branch has now realized that they can take many - if not *any* - action they choose and that other forces can only feebly use intensely slow legal actions against them.
This is literally absolute monarch shit. It is more egregiously and straightforwardly illegal than the stuff Charles I got his head chopped off for.

It's surreal that everyone's response to this is mostly that we're just going about our lives like normal.

You inspired me to look for other places to help. I found this today, decided to put some of these items in the box outside my door for delivery people. I just keep packaged snacks and sodas in there. I think delivery people make a lot less than most people think, they might rely on snap/FBs.
Too many people decided that hating trans people and immigrants was more important than having anything beneficial for everyone, including themselves. That’s America. And I don’t trust that this ship is capable of righting itself.
Her jingle ball. #cats #catsky if that tag is a thing
I hope he wins. It will be a shining moment for a crumbling republic, and a source of endless consternation for the regime that the voice of the people - for a time - still has some influence.

This will take decades to clean up if it’s even recoverable. I wake up every day wanting to be wrong.
My grandmother put Faulty Towers on for me when I was about 8 and I loved it, so Dad introduced me to Monty Python. It’s been history since then. Borrowed from video rental stores, of course. #xennial experiences
I wake up every day wanting to be wrong, and I try to do my part to fight back, but each new chip in the wall keeps signaling the end.
They’ve shown time and again that they hate trans people and immigrants enough to vote against their own best interests. And non voters have yet to show up as long as things are good enough to keep tiktok running. Short of another black swan disaster, we are cooked.
It’s been their long term goal to dismantle the ACA one way or another, and I think they see a passive means to do so.

I don’t trust my fellow Americans to hold them accountable for this.
It’s great. There are similarities to older chat rooms and forums as far as curation goes. And I also love the power of the block button. And the lack of individualized ads.
