If you’d ever like to get the free app to measure tremors & dyskinesia you can download StivePD.
I’m not sure ‘why’, maybe the cardio I do 3x/wk, maybe diet, maybe volunteer work, maybe arts? And I am very happy nonetheless.
I was honoured to be invited to give a presentation on the Arts & Parkinson’s for @neurohumanitiesn.bsky.social They asked great questions. Here’s a section from my talk. @parkinsondotorg.bsky.social @parkinsons.org.uk @parkinsonseurope.bsky.social @parkinsoncanada.bsky.social @clausdnk.bsky.social

Barbara, one of our CareFund recipients, continues to inspire with her creativity and dedication. She uses therapeutic mime to support people living with Parkinson’s and raise awareness through the arts.

We’re so proud to see her share this important work with the Neurohumanities Network!
It was an honour sharing tips on using therapeutic mime for people with Parkinson's & how I use arts to educate and raise awareness of PD for the Neurohumanities Network. Check it out: www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeSy... @parkinsonseurope.bsky.social @parkinsons.org.uk @parkinsoncanada.bsky.social

Looking forward to sharing my experiences using my background as a professional mime to move more ‘normally’, despite having Parkinson’s, & how I use visual art to inform others about PD.
Here’s my latest illustration depicting people with Parkinson’s who do not have a Caregiver - or - the means to hire one.
