Thanks. It would be great if this could take off and replace it as it's important to get a diverse range of voices out. I know some people stay on it for that reason, but I think now it means you're contributing to the problem.
I came off personally and deleted my personal and our business account for @incommon.bsky.social a while back.
I miss it and lost access to a lot of followers but couldn't morally justify staying there.
I tried Gaza Cola & it 100% passes the taste test.
I've been wanting to try it but online it's in multipacks & I didn't want to buy loads if it wasn't good.
I'm not buying the well known cola brands so am pleased to have an ethical alternative - all profits go to rebuilding hospitals in Gaza.

I've just had my MMR. I've always assumed I was fully vaced but it turns out if you were born before 1990 you might not have had it. You can email your GP to check your vaccination record. Please do your own research obvs.
Also, send me a sticker. Apparently I was too old to get one from the nurse.
I haven't - I have an intense loyalty to the Megan Follows mid 80s mini series. But I might try it.
The books are wonderful. Honestly, I think half my moral compass comes from there.

1. Consent in our pseudo-democracies is strained at the best of times, but it hangs on the belief that there is some kind of justice: through inquiries, tribunals, sometimes even the law, powerful people who commit crimes against us will one day be held to account. But what if this no longer works?🧵
I was angrily reminded of all the times men have got shitty because their interest wasn't reciprocated and filled with rage that not only is it still like that, it's getting worse again for women/female presenting folk.
So go watch it and don't be a d*ck.
The subtle critique of the whole system that places women as the object of male desire & the male gaze and sees men feeling aggressively entitled to get what they want when it comes to women which in this case ultimately enables a serial killer - is sadly, still so relevant.
Contd.
I don't normally watch films about male violence because they tend to objectify the victims, either in terms of characterisation, cinematography or both.
But as I knew Anna Kendrick had directed Woman of the Hour I gave it a go and am here to recommend it (with trigger warnings, obviously).
Contd.

This show looks so good.
An important piece of work for a time when we seem determined to turn the clock back on gender equality, queer acceptance & trans rights.
It will break your heart, but repair it in gold.

Review: Mariposa by DeNada Dance Theatre, MAST Mayflower Southampton - In-Common - Southampton
By Spring Wise. I expected to be able to write a somewhat narrative review of this show, being that it’s an adaptation of Madame Butterfly, and spoiler rules do not apply to 120 year old operas!  Mari...

We're hearing increasing concern from parents & those who work with young people about the rise of pro-ana content on social media & an interest in being unhealthily thin among teen girls.
The global political slide to the right & open misogyny appear to be factors alongside revival of 90s fashions.
I love the way a bit of snow makes people decide to start talking to random strangers.
Almost never ironing means when the board does go up, my cat assumes it's a new bed for him.
Amazing evening of immense talent at Turner Sims tonight - University of Southampton.
