I dug out my old android phone (pixel 3a) and managed to get full proper pico-8 running on it through winlator. it runs surprisingly well and I can still sync all my pico-8 files to/from it (via syncthing)!

i think seeing other people be more awkward helped me get over it lol
i'm not that nervous talking to random people in public worlds anymore and i'm realising that I don't really need to be in VR with the headset and everything if I just wanna talk to people and practice Japanese. I might start using vrchat regularly for real now

one of the things I learned in networking classes was that network routing is supposed to be resilient, able to find alternate routes if a path is broken and all that. what happened to that, why is the modern internet
