Nostrils flaring slightly, Alhaitham exhaled in confusion. As the smell gradually intensified, his instincts immediately classified it as omega, mine... though he had never found the scent of anyone else’s pheromones even close to pleasant before.

Vacantly concluding that one of the research labs in the building must be conducting experiments on ‘how to make yourself smell like an omega angel’, he presumed the scent was synthetic and carried on.

He was just about to turn into the cafeteria to pick up some pita pockets for lunch, smiling to himself as he imagined Kaveh scolding him as he always did when Alhaitham forgot his lunch at home, when he stopped dead in his tracks, every hair on his body standing on end.
