@repmcgovern.bsky.social invites us to his annual breakfast before the election. His message to all who attended is that it’s up to us, each of us, to engage and push back on the dangerous authoritarian movement. @etelhaxhiaj.bsky.social and #King4Worcester also live this work 🙏🏼
I assume that some reactionary members who didn’t bother to attend the meeting to vote on endorsements whined to their e-board because of culture war issues. This is exactly why I essentially worked to block my union from issuing endorsements. Because our union has a bunch of dumb fascists in it

Yeah, it’s neat how Petty doesn’t support a civilian review board when the guy who was allegedly his handpicked successor and friend was the victim of a targeted smear campaign by police leadership. In a way that genuinely seemed threatening, and Petty either couldn’t or wouldn’t stop it happening
I had heard that rumor for years, but I genuinely don’t get how Rose could win as mayor after he couldn’t get to the at-large primary this year. Also since his last term on council he took every vote like he was in a hostage video, and seemed deeply unhappy
I work in a public library, and I don’t think it‘s an exaggeration to say that literally every kid who comes in after school to use the public computers uses them to play Roblox. It’s actually worrying to me for the future of AAA games if the kids never move off platforms like Roblox or Fortnite
