A Postdoctoral Researcher in our Lysosomal Health in Ageing Group, Dr Carosi is looking at using the body’s own systems to remove disease-causing proteins.

New research has identified nerve pathways that relay pain signals from bowel to brain, paving the way for new IBS and IBD treatments. 🧠

Lead author Dr Andrea Harrington says the findings revealed two distinct neural pathways in the spinal cord acting as “gatekeepers”.
