We have a big over stimulated orange boy too, after 3 years he’s calmed down a lot and knows he’s safe with us but still has to give occasional swats to make sure we appreciate his boundaries.

We did it, we hosted 6 kids for a backyard birthday party in the swamp heat of this week, while also getting the house painted. Slime was made, t-shirts were tie-dyed, fun was had. I am a sweaty puddle.

I would like for wealthy people excited for tax cuts to sign a piece of paper acknowledging that every dollar they get in tax breaks is going to be paid for by someone else…either someone not getting healthcare or SNAP or some future person paying higher taxes to pay the interest on our new debt.

It’s the last day of school and I have had enough time to myself to finish up this extremely silly and shiny hat. This hat is so very shiny and also extremely silly.

A shiny metallic gold pirate hat with a purple grosgrain ribbon trim on the brim edge, purple jacquard trim under the ruffle and a giant gold and purple velvet star that began life as a Christmas ornament and is now the star of this hat. The hat also has purple ostrich feathers and peacock feathers on the side because it needed something extra.

I find it useful sometimes to take a photo of different trim options when I can’t decide. Once I looked at these side by side it was easy to pick the second option.
