@xybor.bsky.social is is just me or was Classic #Traveller great tonight? What kind of question is that? Whenever SAFCO adventures it is great!
Over the last year my wife has become a really good DND player.

Really enjoyed talking about the latest Kickstarter for Scoundrels of Brixton--and the Hard Vacuum series--with @thedungeonplunger.bsky.social. Jason is a fabulous host and I highly recommend following his podcast. Check out the episode:

Another useful thing. For multi-level buildings, I'll draw the outline of the building on one layer. Or after making the first one I will create a layer and just draw around the outline on that. Then I can use that outline layer to help draw the othe building levels without counting squares.
I need to brush up on some things. Example: I can never remember how to simply select something I've drawn and copy it and paste it. I don't really try to make my maps totally amazing, just functional. Sometimes I put notes right on a map for the GM layer.
It has taken me a couple of months to stop making dumb mistakes, like forgetting to change layers, etc. I still have a lot to learn, but it is going well.
In practice, I export the GMs layer as a jpeg on the iPad as well, and just open it in Photos when I need it. Procreate is pretty easy to learn, the apple pencil (cheaper version) works great. It has made my online map making 100% less frustrating.
For stuff on the GM can see, I make layer called GM, and make all the marking on that. I can turn that layer off, export the map for the players as a jpeg. Then I can see the GM's version on the iPad by turning that layer on again.
I started to make a vid and realized it isn't needed. I use Procreate on the iPad and an Apple Pencil. I have graph and hex paper 8.5 x 11 saved. I start a project by importing that as layer one. Then I do all my other drawing on additional layers, to avoid erasing grid lines.
Ill show you the process tomorrow. Ill make a vid.
I printed out these excellent vehicle combat rules for Classic #TravellerRPG by Omer Golan-Joel and put them in my little campaign notebook tonight.
Boneshaker I found enjoyable, but not enjoyable enough to really want to revisit the next book or two in that series. Or the genre.
Very excite! Wah wah wee wah!
As soon as we finish a Classic #TravellerRPG session Im ready to work on more stuff and play asap. Same with my homebrew D&D campaign.
Classic #TravellerRPG happened tonight. Building of a flame thrower. Riding grav bikes at high speed through organic tunnels in a super-dense jungle. Bioluminescent ecology. Giant aggressive Mega-Beetles with sickening cone chemical weapon. Hand grenades, auto rifles, submachine guns. More to come.
Finished readind Dumarest 28 tonight.
