Some people just collect friends like they're building a brand identity. It's not really about you, it's about how you make them look. Collecting cool people and being cool are interchangeable to them. It's really stupid and shallow and it's hard to believe that people do this but they do.

Wow, what an end to the F1 championship! I was rooting for Piastri, followed by not-Verstappen, but I was really worried about this season being a MGS2 to 2007's MGS1 toward the end there

I'm not too badly beat up from the conference. Brought a mild cold back despite masking most of the time. Didn't gain or lose weight really.

San Diego is one of the better airports for walking to. There's a pedestrian path all the way there from downtown and not too many sketchy traffic crossings

I always get to the airport stupidly early. Woke up at 6 AM, got to the airport, through security, and to my gate by 6:45. Flight doesn't depart until 8. I keep records of how long it typically takes me even in worst cases of security but then I still pad the margin.
