We are delighted to share our posts, photos, and examples of work with you all. It's lovely to be here!
At the beginning of this new year, every class reviewed our mission: who we are, what we are called to do, and how and where we can live out our vocation. Below is Year Three's offering.
Thanks to the PTA for another brilliant disco - our second of the week, this time for KS2! (Not pictured: the boys sitting down, glum faced, as Taylor Swift played).
A group of Year 4 lead the class in a liturgy based on The Holy Trinity. We sang the hymn Father we adore you, wrote prayers and thought about how we can continue the work of the Holy Trinity.
As part of Children’s Mental Health Week, Year 4 acted out emotions and then identified the feelings of characters from the story: The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. Year 4 agreed that it is good to share our feelings. As Horse said, “We are less scared together.”
Year 1 are very grateful for their lovely valentines gift from our wonderful PTA! They loved the disco and this is an extra little treat! Happy Valentines Day (for next week)! ❤️
Year 3 have been discussing and thinking about Children’s Mental Health Week. We learnt that it is important to share our thoughts, feelings and opinions to support our own mental health and well-being.
Year 1 & 6 are having a fabulous morning working together to research the work of @CAFOD. They are making informative posters and preparing all the information to for their presentations to each other. ⭐️
Ms Reynolds has had a wonderful day exploring influencers with Years Four, Five, Six, One and Reception. We discussed the ways in which we can be influenced online and the hazards. We designed the future influencer, thinking of how to make the world better #SaferInternetDay2024
Mrs Healy has enjoyed all her sessions with her groups today. Discussing Artificial Intelligence we had great debates discussing the positives and negatives of AI. Children designed a new classroom assistant based on AI technology. The future looks bright!
Children enjoying library club today . Looking at our fantastic choice of books and making posters explaining how to use to use the library and look after our books . The children know how important reading is and how much they enjoy it #welovebooks📚
Year 1 and Year 2 have both had a session up in the Year 5 classroom with Miss Ball. They learnt all about Digiduck and talked about why it is so important to use kind words online!
Year Three have been thinking about how the different things we see online make us feel and they are now writing their own songs to help other children stay safe online
Reception and Year One have visited Year Six this morning to think about how to stay safe and happy online. They loved singing Buddy the Dog’s song to help them to remember to ask an adult if they are ever unsure of what to do.
As part of Safer Internet Day, Year 5 and Year 6 have worked really hard with Miss Ball this morning to create their own storyboard. The aim was to think of a story that teaches KS1 how to use technology carefully and be a good friend online.
Year 2 are enjoying their time with Mrs Hunt playing the Help game and drawing their magic window to show safe things they like to do on the internet with an adult nearby.
Year 1 are off to a great start on Safer Internet Day. They have listened to the story of Hanni and the Magic Window and they are playing a game now which requires them to discuss different situations when they might need to ask for help from an adult.
Reception had the best time this morning showing off their fabulous maths knowledge to their grown-ups. They had a carousel of activities where they were adding two parts to make one whole.
Brilliant scenes at our Reception and Key Stage One Disco. Thanks to the PTA for organising and the children for their wonderful outfits and behaviour.
Year 2 have been learning about their personal hygiene, we have been discussing why it’s important to have a shower often and how washing our hands avoids spreading germs 🦠
The eco council have been doing a bit of weeding today , preparing the beds ready for planting after half term. No matter what the weathers like they always want to spend time in the garden . True eco warriors.#so proud🏆
