I KNOW

We’ve got something here

This week’s episode of The Morning Show is fucking insane wow
rystorm.bsky.social
Gonzo Arrow at least goes past that peak and does some cool shit - GR and St Louis also both worth a listen
rystorm.bsky.social
I had actually forgotten about that I’m devastated
rystorm.bsky.social
At least it still has Mann in it

I'm shocked you didn't berate me about my high ranking yesterday

Just realized JRAD at the Cap is the week after Eggy there in January

I'm spending a LOT of time in NYC over the next few months 😂

Yeah I was really loving it and then the last couple listens have fallen a little more flat for me

Still a fantastic jam but in my head the post-bliss cool part was a lot longer than it actually is 😂

Posted my JOTY list yesterday then have been doing pod prep all day today and have moved a bunch of fall jams around lol

oops

Alpharetta Modern throws around a LOT of really cool ideas in its relatively short time frame - right before the LE segue Rick hints at a major/blissy progression that I wish they had explored more

Some light churn

amazing driving/shaping of the jam from Cotter PLUS super cool interplay between Rick and Peter

Gave Milwaukee a spin then compared to a couple 2025 versions I consider "standard" - it's a slightly Goontzier take on the typical Arrow peak but otherwise it's a pretty similar motif to what we've heard

Check out Burlington and Louisville for a couple examples

Type 1 meaning that it stays within standard Arrow territory for its duration

Jams don't need to be Type II to be good but when it's a progression and peak they've done 50 times before, it doesn't really move the needle for me however fun/danceable it might be

Crap? The re-entry peak?

I’ll give MKE Arrow another spin but to my memory it’s just an average good Type 1ish version like so many others

I’m pretty all in on the Gilford FITS placement tbh

Tumble might move down
rystorm.bsky.social
Based on the last few, absolutely agree

Cyro being in there too adds an interesting element to Fish's drumming

SO wish this band would play again
