i mean speaking realistically it's the fact that they're both drawing from the well of asian pop and fusing it with other genres. like if you read some of the old ag cook interviews he very much talks about how j-pop and k-pop are big influences

i hate how winter holidays turn my mom into the most annoying nag in existence. she's already been damn near harassing me constantly asking me for a fucking christmas list. my birthday was in mid september and i didn't ask for much. i don't have much i want, lay off, let me think and focus on now

this was precipitated by realizing that gotosocial's ram usage actually hasn't gone up that much through the versions and it was actually nixos/systemd that was using the additional memory over my silly wifi router hosting setup. so theoretically i can run gotosocial on one of these pieces of shit

probably not gonna do this soon honestly. but i do have other uses for "many computers that can wifi"; another one of my goofy project ideas is a wifi mesh network i can throw up at a convention that has chat/filesharing/a shoutboard type thing

i might start out just using docker swarm or something like that because i'm familiar with docker and i dunno how well various kubernetes variants are going to run on these computers, i found someone making a k*s cluster with rpi zero 2s and they had uh. problems

finch kitty was very cross with me for being over at the neighbors for a week and a half or whatever in order to take care of the old dog. he was yelling at me and following me around the house and being incredibly snuggly with me after i got back

it was funny though even though i only really ever had them out individually it was obvious they were watching and learning from each other. they'd pick up habits from each other like climbing up onto my shoulders and head, one didn't do that until he saw the other one doing it.. rats are smart

i had mentioned that i had kinda wanted rats in the past but wasn't sure about it due to those factors i mentioned so it was just sort of one of those things. good experience. friendly rats. too bad that one of them died and his 'replacement' fucking hated the other one bc they were un-fixed males

also i wasn't even planning on getting the rats i had in the first place. it was a whole thing; my sister had snakes, she couldn't get dead rats once so got live feeder rats, the snakes were fuckin scared of them and she didn't want to do the deed herself.. so she texted me "do you want rats" lmao

like i'm not planning to move right now but i dunno i might have to go somewhere a couple years for school eventually soon kinda so i'm not quite ready to make a personal commitment to pets right now, mental health aside
