I love the gravitas of the Elite Four early in the series. For such a strong group of characters the show is surprisingly restrained in making use of them, making little things like Nonon walking in on the battle with Tsumugu super hype. Then the first time one transforms you lose your shit

HL2 has many all-timers for set pieces but for me it's the triple whammy of the very hectic lighthouse fight, going under the bridge (most vertigo-inducing thing I've ever done in a game), then getting past the train on the bridge by the skin of your teeth. All of this in the same hour.
