Their defence is their calling card (lots of quick footed lateral movement from their players) but the half court offence is desperate for crisper ball movement and a little more dare. Sharp and Holmes saved a lot of half court sets with wonderful foot work. Shelley needs to be assertive. #wnbl

4th qtr. A game of runs but the veteran presence of the previously mentioned Flames players was such a difference. Jaz Shelley was flustered all game and forced poor shots or sped up when she needed to slow down. Geelong didn’t let up until the whistle, great effort. #wnbl

3rd qtr. All game Froling was hitting high-lows passes to girls who would seal out their defender under the basket. She was awesome. Nicholson was defended hard all game but didn’t get flustered nor did she ever take it down from 5th gear. McSpadden’s energy was infectious. #wnbl

2nd qtr. The Pili injury destroyed Geelong’s defensive alertness. They gave up second chance points and struggled with cuts and the break in play really rocked them. I was surprised looking at the box score that they scored so few but it was a sloppy qtr. #wnbl

Once Rotunno was introduced (8 asts, 0 to) they were able to at least get down the floor. The energy and movement from both teams was high. Sydney executed a little better and Geelong bricked some free throws. The Rotunno change needed to happen way sooner than waiting til your down 16. #wnbl

1st qtr. Geelong didn’t set up to counter any full court pressure on Shelley from the get go. Girls would run up the floor to get into starting positions in sets and not even turn to face the play to see if they would be needed as an outlet pass. The coach needed to address way earlier. #wnbl

There is such a wholesome atmosphere at women’s sports events. We had a group of children try and egg us to start a Mexican wave with them but we failed miserably. Geelong’s atmosphere was awesome and I’ll definitely go again. They had live snakes at the arena lmao. Gosh I hope they are ok. #wnbl

I made a comment on social media that I found Raging Bull a difficult watch because it’s simply a story of men being violent and it would be hypocritical of me to ignore that this film is the same yet I can stomach this & and I’m not entirely sure what that says about me. #film #movie #filmsky

I watched the final cut & apparently it’s Coppola’s recommended way to watch the film. It worked for me, I found I was more engaged with this version than others in the past, but I also think a film like this is all about your current mood, location & environment. #film #filmsky #movie

I finished Haneke’s Amour and it took me three days of viewing to finish. I wasn’t prepared for that look at mortality. It is so confronting. Despite the story walloping me in the stomach, that’s the most accessible narrative I have seen in a Haneke film. #film #movie #filmsky
