Excited to be at Brooklyn Horror Film Festival this weekend. Come hang with me on Saturday for @certifiedforgot.bsky.social as they interview special guest Tina Romero.

For the past few years, the team at Brooklyn Horror have kept a slot in their schedule for @certifiedforgot.bsky.social — even as they’ve grown. It would mean a lot if you could help us spread the word and fill the house next weekend.

“Goddammit, we’re a GREAT niche horror publication” - CF’s new marketing tagline.
Thank you! One of my recent favorites to write.
I’m a firm believer in horror movies being very helpful in dealing with mental health struggles. I talked with advocacy and support group Victims and Villains about using pop culture and horror to address mental health. (And their film festival this weekend)
Victims and Villains is dedicated to deconstructing the stigma surrounding mental health through pop culture and horror.

It’s been such a long tiring day for me that I misunderstood this post and was like “Congrats! Wait… Matthew(s), no! Ohhhh…”
Thrilled to contribute to the @styleweekly.com Fall Arts Preview with a piece on the upcoming local albums coming to Richmond this fall.
Had the Louise Belcher stickers rant in my head the entire time while writing this.

Comic Geeks has a good pull list that also sends an email reminder of the week’s books. It also lets you scan by cover which makes things a lot quicker. Plus they include artbooks and RPG guides. And it’s thorough. Even my weird unknown indie stuff is in there.
I just got this app the other day and I have been meticulously organizing our entire comic collection and tracking my reading. I have a new obsession!
I have editors that will say “get this to me whenever” and I will labor over it for too long. My writing is always better with a hard deadline.
FNTW has been such a welcoming place to get my Bob’s Burgers discussion fix and is a Monday night staple for me. Join us for trivia night next week and tell Mike and JB that they’re awesome.
