Is it common for people in the USA to eat with their hands? On my visits I didn't notice it, but I've seen a bunch of videos where they visit the UK and have eaten (a fry up, a roast dinner and various other dishes) with their hands, which seems a bit bizarre to me.

For my first arts college project my grade was "Very Good". The grade for my recent second project was "Outstanding", so hopefully that means I'm learning and improving. It's nice to have a positive and immediate response to something I've worked hard on.

I've been riding the bus in Edinburgh quite a lot over the past 3 months and have noticed... Aromas. No shame, it's human, but it did make me start wondering if I smell bad to others.

Tonight at Chez Jones: lamb Ragu, brown fusilli, parmesan.

Ragu: lamb, tomato puree, tomatoes, oregano, basil, rosemary, lamb stock, olive oil.

Note: first try using frozen lamb mince and it was really good. Cheaper and cook from frozen, too.

I'm listening to the audiobook of Jurassic Park at the moment. I like how it starts off as a sort of scientific mathematical admin investigation, then about half way it becomes a gross monster horror.

I don't think Chrichton is great at writing kids though (in this book, I've not read his others).

Currently planning our xmas food purchases. What do you like to snack on? We've learned not to get too much pastry or overly rich stuff, to try and balance it out with more veg and fruit as we can be a bit worn out by rich foods.

Tried Kirby Air Ride on #switch2 as a free trial. Don't think it's for me, I didn't really know what was going on / it was quite chaotic. While I liked Donkey Kong Bananza, it didn't grab me enough to complete it. Mario Kart World is really good, but overall S2 is a bit disappointing so far...
