MetLife turf claims another....
@spilly.bsky.social Is one of your DnD characters in my BF6 squad?
There was so many "oh, here we go again moments" in the second half of that game. Dart having to go to the blue tent, Hurts moving the ball with minimal effort just before the fumble and the Flott pick. My body wouldn't let me have hope until the pick.
Lol, as a Giants fan I fear prime-time games. Feels good to finally win one.
I really like Elaynah. Her chess "journey" (?) is similar to yours. She got really into chess in the last few years then absolutely dedicated herself to learning the game and has grown to about 1900elo. Also her streams are very chill.

The amount of people that I see playing chess on the skytrain is crazy high. Give us some spaces where we can play each other OTB! We are a city of chess players!

Philosophy is often a pain in the ass to read, but what little I’ve read has changed my life for the better. Like self-help books but good, they’ve made me much more deliberate. I’m also more equipped to see through so much bullshit and then disregard it as not worth my time.
When Chappell Roan said "Fuck this city, I'm moving to Saskatchewan." I really felt that, that's genuine emotional devastation.
Last cabin trip with friends, I read a few Japanese Ghost stories. I'm trying to make a spooky ghost story night a regular tradition
Next read, comes highly recommended.
Buffalo Hunter Hunter - Stephen Graham Jones
Trying to make myself a worse person
Prior to starting this I read
Guy Debord - The Society of the Spectacle
And
Kay Dick - They
Cixin Liu - The Three Body Problem
I've always wanted to go to the VPL chess meet ups. Being a beginner/intermediate player I'm always a bit intimidated by it.
Just before independent bookstore day, my hold came available at the library. Here's my next horror read.
White Horse - Erika T. Wurth
Short read on the top of a Mountain
The burnout society - Byung Chul Han
I look forward to his head on the Hydra
Any other QB taken before him would be just as funny. At that point you'd have to start thinking maybe he did come off as an ass in all his meetings.
Red Rabbit was such a great book. Now back to philosophy.
I'm impartial to "just a tool? I guess it takes one to know one."
Ana has motivated me to take more books out from the library instead of just buying them.
Red Rabbit - Alex Grecian
Just finished
Ghost Wall - Sarah Moss (it was fine)
And
The Unworthy - Agustina Bazterrica, which was incredible. Now it's back to philosophy with this big tome
Alain Badiou's "Being and Event"
I regularly open with the Scandinavian, this one got me shaking in fear!
You know what they say, "sun's out, German pessimistic philosophy out."
