Thank you. Sums up my own feelings quite well in that I just find it appealing. I suspect something to do with that green, as a calming colour.
Ah. Understandable. I'm a big fan of anything with 6 legs 😂. A lot of the 8 legged variety catch my interest too but I prefer my bug to have wings, if at all possible, or at least the promise of wings in the future ☺️.
You have bugs that sit still! You glue them down? I've considered trying that with the dead ones found inside the window but somehow they just don't have the same look as a live one. I thing the sparkle in the eyes is missing 😂.
my artistic skills with paint or pencil are nil. I am in awe of people with a gift for creation.
These are the two. I'd be interested in your thoughts, especially on brightness before I try posting. See those green trunks! I'm trying to work out why but rather like the effect.
Definitely. Rain heard in the night and I'm out there next morning. And you aren't paying a fortune for a dedicated lens as the rings will fit any lens you have. My favourite is the 50mm with 36mm extender.
Funny you should say that. I just found 2 I'd not deleted, both dark. Some playing and they have turned out more interesting. One like several asparagus stalks the green (why green) so vivid.
Yes indeed. Like so many of Trump and his 'administration's' actions this is another 'there's a dead cat on the table' moment!
I enjoy those delicate pastel shades in this, and the image above. Both of which intrigue me. You mention digital art and also water colour. Is this then a water colour image with digital enhancement or a digital image created to look like water colour?
It's funny, that, softness in an image, would be considered a fault in many forms of photography but is something that often works in macro images of flowers I find.
Thank you for the deep dive and commenting on my images this evening.
Thanks Isabel one of those images that just presented itself. After a YouTube free training session on macro photography I splashed out on a cheap, second hand, set of extension tubes. I was delighted to find that I could use an old camera and lens from the attic. Haven't looked back, love it!
It is, I think, one of the harder forms of photography for creating something appealing rather than just a blurry image suggestive of movement. I have dipped my toes on several occasions but never with any real expectation of success and the results, or lack of them, attest to that.
With a huff and a puff, they were all gone. Babies in the wind 😊
This is the first miniature ICM image I've seen. it has worked really well. I have just returned from a morning in the woods with camera. Inspired by some images seen recently I attempted ICM there. I have since deleted all of them 😂😂😂.
Seriously gorgeous. Perfection in miniature.

Continuing the wet flower theme, on the left, dressed in purple, we have a doubled Daisy. With many petals to catch the drops of water. On the right the seed head of Clematis, which look pretty anyway, but like this, glinting in the sun, quite gorgeous.
Tuftless the Squirrel. Dark form for night hunting 😊. Another excellent action picture.
I see what you did here. This lady takes pride of place later too! It was the unicorn wasn't it? 🤣🤣🤣
Insects have long held a fascination for me. I am repeatedly blown away by the detail some macro photographers seem able to capture.
What an utterly fantastic selection. Looks like the Ravens took a day off?
As above, so below Distinctly different feel.
Interesting effects. I thought, especially when you mentioned Weeping Willow that it might be a long exposure. It certainly has a 'painterly' look.
Thank you. Me too. Making a conscious effort to capture them these days.

After the rain overnight yesterday my camera took a walk round the garden and found many lovely things, flowers, to photograph.
Here the pale ping Kaffir Lily and the deeper colour with a yellow heart of Cosmos.
Here lies Virginia. That's creepy 🤣🤣.
Good morning Janice. Early start! Too early for me I'll try an catch an extra hour's night 🙂.
