My grandfather and his three brothers all served on the #WesternFront during #WorldWar1. One was killed, two were wounded and one came back unscathed after four years at war. You can support the Royal British Legion at their shop www.poppyshop.org.uk

It was an honour to attend today’s #RemembranceDay Service at #Leicester’s war memorial in Victoria Park. A moving service & tribute parade.

One Remembrance Day when I was a boy my father told me the time he dragged a wounded airman out of a crashed bomber during #WorldWar2 only for him to die in father’s arms. My father cried.
