Haven't posted an intro yet! XR Developer, ex-Valve contractor on SteamVR/OpenXR, now a Khronos OpenXR Advisory Panel member. Sharing vids I couldn’t import from Twitter. Currently working on a #MixedReality project powered by my custom #OpenXR library. A thread 👇

Any NZ devs here attending #NZGDC? I'm going and would love to hang out with Kiwi #XR devs.

Also, come to my talk 🙂
Updated my native (C++20) OpenXR library + Vulkan renderer to support several new spec extensions - incl. first & most recent official standards I co-authored for Valve: Hand Joints Motion Range and Hand Interaction.

I think it’ll depend on the gameplay as it might get tiring after a while.

If the spells are Skyrim style - clear, paced, separated syllables - could work great across a range of different users I reckon.
Love the art style! Congrats!
Love the portability of the #SteamDeck, but sometimes you just want a giant screen - #AppleVisionPro currently fills this gap.
AVP finally arrived? :)
Landslide! Thrilled to see Labor win. Normally don't mind the usual swings between Labor+Greens and Liberals+Nationals, the Liberal leader's recent dog whistling pushed me to vote Labor instead of my usual Greens.

Bonus: Lost his seat held by Liberals for 24 yrs!

Go trumpin get a thumpin I guess?
It certainly changed my lifestyle. It’s a headset I grab again-and-again not because I need to work “on” it, but coz I honestly enjoy using it.

They’ve got a lot of things right with this one. I hope the market reflects this in time.
Australia votes … only in Aus 😂

Want to see something cool? We revisited the real library that inspired the one in Moss!
(Location: Suzzallo Library on the University of Washington campus in Seattle, WA)

This would be perfect paired with the Moss Book 2 soundtrack: youtube.com/playlist?lis...

Likewise! Yeah been a while! 🚀
Not yet. But had a similar issue in OpenXR - had reports on SteamVR crashing seemingly randomly, until I finally traced it to a third party api layer 😔
Great product intro. Looks solidly built. Not too sure about that cartridge like connector on the side but of the main unit though. Giving me ptsd from old Nintendo game cartridges.

Yeah I get this - sometimes you can be too “in” your code, a fresh perspective often helps.
Check out zen space desks based in qld. They have large ones and even L-shaped standing ones.

Pretty solid and you can customize quite a bit.
Coming up, Episode III
What are those white discs? Cheese?
Thanks J! ❤️
Testing input, render modes & PBR tonemap in my latest #xrlib demo, with some #mixedreality magic ✨
