at least you CAN do that. i feel like my old characters designs from back in the way are where i like them, so not much to do there on my end except make new designs LOL

It definitely happens. And I know there's nothing malicious behind it, it's just an insecure feeling of "oh i can't enjoy this thing by myself in my own room without this person's shadow looming over it"

i don't want to detract from my friends' joys either of course, but like ya know-- boundaries.

It just gets a little bit irritating for me when I want to express my own love for a game and then have someone come along time and time again and remind me, "Oh you know WHO ELSE loves that game???"

On MY page, I would like to hold space to love and appreciate the games I do, on my own, WITHOUT automatic association to friends and mutuals of mine who are more well known for loving those games.

I respect their love for said games. I celebrate in that love.

But I want my love to be MY OWN too.
